The Paseo Recordings began with field recordings of Before (Taos) being played in an alley off the Taos, NM Historic Plaza during The Paseo Project. The Paseo Project is a street art festival in -- you guessed it -- Taos, NM. Before (Taos) is a sound installation.

The Paseo Recordings picks up where Before (Taos) left off. Both projects seek to establish a strong sense of place, both utilize field recordings in and around Taos, NM. Where Before (Taos) focuses on recordings of natural sounds, The Paseo Recordings place human activity in the foreground. Where Before (Taos) focuses on simplicity, The Paseo Recordings are rich and complex.

The case is hand cut, folded, and glued limited edition of 50 copies. The CDr is home burned and the USB containing Before (Taos) is partially biodegradable. The physical release also comes with thirteen (13) 4" x 2 1/2" photo cards from locations in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. Please allow a week for assembly.

**Before (Taos) is too large to upload to Bandcamp without breaking the installation into two tracks or reducing the quality to an MP3. The excerpt here is less than a quarter of the entire piece. The full installation audio will be sent separately by me, to you, upon purchase. It's roughly 1.5 GB.**
